Street girl
She met me on the play ground of our street.She was two years elder to me.A naughty girl .She played foul as most siad,but I had no option but to play with her.She used to allure me to lay traps for those little sparrows and like to catch them,tease them or when I asked and prayed she left them free after cutting their tail.I felt it.Requested her not to play these tricks but she was of that sort and never learned love of birds.She is still alive may now a changed one but I still do not believe her.
School Girl
She met me in the school.She was a cute girl.Often mute and fearful of her father and many who too were in the school.I liked to play with her.She was charming and honest.We palyed together in the school in teens .We never new what is friendship.It wasan attraction.When we grew old we wenr to a inter college far away.She was grown up and wearing a chader on her body.People said she was grown up.We saw one another but the adulthood has drawn a wall between us.Those days even intimate talk or a walk with a girl would make a scandal.Our school had witnessed one of Madubala type,so all of us were afraid to talk to girls.I remember we walked the distance from school to our home toghether but never dare to talk each other.except those glances of acquitences .
A day came I had to coach her,but here too she was mute and never opened up or even replied any questions aked.I thought she was shy.Later a jealous cousin of mine created an misunderstanding and we never spoke that out.We never met untill we were married and had children.She was still that mute and cute down with many diseased and suffered from loneliness .I believe.I see now a bright shine of mutual respect in her eyes ,but still consealed.
College girl
In the college I met her.I was the brillent shing star in the class of Prof Moza.He would call by roll numbers.Mine was 95 ,I still remember.The girl met me in the chemistry laboratory.We were having an internel exam for salt analysis.Prof Moza was a hard task master.He wont only ask for the end results but wanted to have the colours developed shown to him.Some how a laboratory assisstant told her that my salt is similar to her.
She was just on my front and asking me to part a portio of each test with her.I was shy and honest,I asked her to take it when I am out from the desk to show mine to the teacher.She stole all the samples.At times the Prof Moza WAS ALARMED AND CAME to check her test tubes.She was a cleaver copier and had kept all but the last one on her rack.The Prof some how believed on my honesty than her deciet and did not disturb her.
At the end my God it was now the turn of writing the procedures.She was pretubed as I did not oblige her to share my copy nor I was daring to dictate her note.She was a cleaver girl.She went to Prof and asked her to write on my side of the lab table as her side was sioled aith acid.The prof came ,again believed her and thus she was on my side shoulder to shoulder noting down all what I had written.
God I was in sweat,She was daring and a brave copier.I was called for the viva voce .I left my note book on my desk .Let her copy in my absensce rather humilating me when I am there.The viva was for a long period as I was the pet student of Prof Moza.He wanted to show the accompaning teacher from Botany Mr sona ullah Sheik,the depth of my knowledge.He asked me of my notes of salt analysis.I dared to tell him sir they are there on my tale.I have done the analysis and shown your all resultant colours,I can explain with out the note book or say the Examnition note book.
He was thrilled to hear my answer and praised my confidence and started cross questions.I was fully prepared and answered his all questions,This amused Mr Shiek too ,he took another 20 minute to ask me questions and was all praise.On completion of my vivva,Prof Moza announced loudly in the class that I have secured full marks (100%)in the wxam and that he is proud of me and knew better salt analysis than him so on and so forth.While he was prasing me the smart girl copied all note from my note book and I was relieved that even if she is caught I have no harm in telling the truth.Any way she was smart enough and had made all arrangements for safe coping and was last to go for viva and had little chances to be caught.I gave my note book to Prof and thanked God .Went to hostel to have my lunch.
After my leaving Prof Moza had praised me in my absensce ,on cheking my note book.This is what she told me next morning.She has been searching me all through the gallies and lawns of the college from last two days,asking for me from my frends.Next morning when I was coming down from the library.The library in Sopore college then was on First stoery.It was connected to ground floor just infront of the principals office.I still remember the engraved wooden pillors of that broad wooden stair case.She had spotted me out and was waiting for me at the last step just infront of Principals office.I would have avoided the meet but she came infront all of a sudden.She said why I shy out from her and tried to shower all praises on me infront of her close friend who is now a doctor in England I suppose.
i was prespiring and profusely asweating.I would have likd to talk to them but the fear of Prof Abdul Salam Dher was so deep in me that I some how escaped and hurting her.Today may I confess I liked her too,she was fair,tall and smart,but her cheating the exams was a negative point to make her my love.
Yes I met her agian when she entered GMC,she looked a scared bird perhaps recking used to be tougher in GMC then.She had failed when I passed the TDC and was nominated for BDS/BVSC/later MBBS too..On the advise of my elder brother and on my own interest I had joned BVSC.i loved animals as child and always played with animal toys.Later I realized how wise my brother was to have advised me to be a veterinay doctor,I enjoyed my work and had a chance to visit the world through its blessings .
So came end to an unknow lover of mine whom I never tried to know inspite of her advances.My inhibitions,shyness ,responsiblities of family and many more.Of late I met her in a bus.She has grown as an lady doctor.She boarded the bus at Kalousa near Ownagam.I did recognize her.Wished to talk but for my shyness and social tease common those days.
Professional college
Our college had no girls then thus it was a bramachari period for me deviod of any girls,except one proposed by my mother,whom I treid to befreind but of late I knew her as a fallen apple ,deviod of smell or unworthy of mention,.So no memoris what so ever except agonies and suffering alone which the friend whoes story I am writing did not allow me to write.As I have no copy right so here I close the chapter.
University in India
She was called the beauty queen of the univesity.She was a lean and thin ,a apple stae girl,She had the essansce and flavour of Himachal apples and was presuing masters in agricultural Physiology.We had a course on Biochemistry together.We had common freinds too in the department of Plant Pathology of Prof Nanies Fame.
We often met at a cup of tea.She was most cherished company in the University.Even the teachers used to tease her.I remembered the joke of one teacher,Dr Rana who once squibed in the class .While seeking atttendence when he reached to her name and asked Miss so,then he mutely murmered : are oyu realy miss.Whole class burst into laughter.I saw a flush of that apple on her cheeks.She bent her head in grace and just made me crasy of her.
I shared this to afriend from Hyderabad who was majoring in Plant Pathology.Since that day it was my routine to place a red rose daily om her desk,She will look at it and ignore,except on that fatefull day when she caught me silently watching from the class window,placing the rose on her table.This time she took it,kissed it and palced it in her purse.This was a day of celeberation and mary.My hyderabadi freind demaned a treat.We went for it.
Next Morning when we were there in the class she was waiting us in the corridor along with her freind a sikh named Kour.She wanted to learn the amino acid sequence calculations from me.Although Biochemistry was my optional here,but because of my sound chemistry background I was regarded as the best student of Biochemistry here and most of the students including an IVRI director of late , used to come and have lesons from me in the hostel room where I was a councilor too,because f my merit.
Unfortunately this freindship was shyed out by me as it might have damaged me and her being from different regions and relgions and then I came to know she is engaged ,The end of Biochemistry class ended the affair too as I was busy in preparing the exams .The contact was lost and thus the distant friendship too.Yes at times like that silsilalflim of Bachan I do murmer If it whee so (Agar ayesa hota)
Friends at Hannover
Yes this was a heaven full of Harm.All Asian students except me will tease girls like those teaser bulls left lose by the herdman to detect oestrus in the herd.With the help and coutsey of a freind Bali I became the unsung hero of all parties in Hannover.I did not knew drivering so he drove me many palces on week ends .I played a priest in the den.Yes almost all the ute,barbara,,Konig,Henna,metzt and row of Danish,British,Greek,Italian,Iranian and Brazialian beauties tried to seduce me ,but God saved me like yousuf from the zulikas sedutions.
I admit some i befriended and some I adhored but by then I was bonded and never went to have them as my girl freinds.They always remained as distant friends.I still remember an act of a blond German girl.It was a chisrtmas celeberation of the university students and staff.Menza hall was full.She came rushing on spoting me and brought a shekolard a chocklate linear one with some fluid in it.On holding me in her embace she put an end of the roll in her mouth and other in mine.I was ashmaed and shy like a teen age girl
.My professors were cheering and enjoying.I knew she wanted me to kiss on her lips and hold her in my embrace .I too liked her,but her bazzar act ofended me.I still curse the day I did not prepose her.Later I saw she is turned into a drunkard.She was then a Registrar in the local medical college and loved me intensely,I too was allured by her madness,but my chains never allowed me to be loosed and I dreadened their separation and future.Now I repent missing her but it is too late.I saw her of late in 1997,she has grown fat and alcohlic.Her plight dreadened me
