Perfect Golf Swing - How To Avoid Hooking And Slicing
The average golf player of the day faces challenges with iron play and the swing. Many players are challenged by shots that go too high or too low, and of course the menacing hooks and slices. All these issues are most commonly the result of the wrong or incorrect swing. And then it may be much easier to master the swing than a new comer may imagine. Hooking and slicing will all be behind you if you learn to perfect your swinging..
We have put down some solutions for you to improve on your swing problems. Once you master these, you will see your game improve by miles. You need no longer worry about bogeys or double bogeys once you start hitting those birdies.
If you often find yourself hooking when what you wanted was to hit the ball head on, try these solutions:
a. Get a good look at your grip. Chances are it is turned too much towards the right A good grip should make your hands make a v sign pointed skywards.
b. When you wish to hit straight the golf ball should be somewhere near the left toe, if you are a right hander. If the ball if too much backwards your hits tend to curve in mid air.
c. A mis-hit can often be a result of wrong body and should alignment, and hooks are often a result of aligning yourself too much to the right.
d. For a perfect straight hit, you need to make sure the club connects with the ball squarely so see that your club isn’t hitting the ball from the outside when it connects.
On the other hand, if you are slicing off the tee box, some of the following methods may correct your problem
a. Your hands need to make a v sign facing skyward. Make sure the grip is not turned too much to the left side.
b. If your body is not aligned with the target, you may mis-hit the ball. If your shoulders are aligned too much to the left it may result in a sliced shot.
c. Take another look at the position of the ball when compared to your stance. A slice can result from the ball being a little too far from your stance.
d. Do try and see that you aren’t putting too much distance between your body and the club during the back swing. For the ball to travel straight you need to make sure that you strike it squarely with the club.
Once you start practice keeping all these tips in mind, you will get a good straight hit when you want one, and a good swing is a basic golf technique that could save you some embarrassment on the course.
