Brother Hl-7050 – Extremely High Paper Capacity For Major Output
Some offices require a printer that is slated for absolutely constant use. This amount of abuse can wear out mechanical parts in many of today’s laser printers. Luckily, Brother rates all their units with a maximum monthly duty cycle to let you know how many dittos you can punch out before parts start falling off. While most small office printer’s maximum allowances are usually between 10,000 sheets and 30,000 sheets, The Brother HL-7050 crushes smaller units, and many in its own category as well, with an almost unmatched 150,000 sheet max monthly cycle. Though Brother recommends only using 3,000 to 8,000 sheets per month, this still shouldn’t pose any threat for workgroups with even the highest print output demands.
While the HL-7050 is obviously built for stability, it is also designed for speed, and can print out your documents at a maximum of up to 30 pages per minute. Larger projects will not suffer to slowdown thanks to the Toshiba TMPR4995 266 MHz on board processor, along with 32 megabytes of built in memory, which can further be expanded with 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, or 128 MB additional memory cards via the 100-pin DIMM slots. That extra memory and processing power will show when spooling up multiple projects, or single high demand ones, and your first page will be through the machine in less than eleven seconds.
One of the most incredible features of the Brother HL-7050 is the extremely high volume of paper it can store. It comes standard with a maximum input paper capacity of 500 sheets, which is already twice what many printers have. Even printers with expandable paper capacity features still come with smaller trays, so you can’t plop an entire ream into one slot. With 500 sheets of space, you just open the package and drop the pages, without fumbling around separating stacks of paper. And if a ream of paper isn’t enough to go though between refills, how about three more? That’s right, the HL-7050 has an amazing three additional paper tray slots, giving you the option of expanding to a two thousand sheet standard paper capacity! There’s even a multi purpose tray good for another 100, topping you out at 2100 total sheets.
An interesting feature equipped in the HL-7050 that you don’t see too often is the secure print ability. You can protect your sensitive and important documents making it easier to keep the people you don’t want eyeing your work away from it. Though, you’ll still have to be careful due to the brilliant print quality of 1200 X 1200, making your documents as easy to read as necessary, and monochrome graphs and charts clear (as this is exclusively a black and white printer).
Though the HL-7050 has been discontinued, they are still available on the internet for a very reasonable price. When compared with printers in its category, it really is a cost effective choice, for offices who don’t care about having the latest model. The Brother HL-7050 is a high capacity machine that may suit you if your output demands are extremely high.
