Ok well i would go with the second rod, the St-Croix in 7' MH, FAST ACTION
( I prefer a 7foot rod for casting and i like the MH as you can still have the power to haul in a big fish even through heavy cover )
And as for the reel id go with the JM Signature Series in the model JMX10SC
