The Red Cross is a non-partisan, non-political international relief agency whose white and red banner is a welcome presence in all uneasy and hurt spots of the globe.

While the entire Defensor-Santiago family is maybe nicely whiling away thru the Ondoy Apocalypse, US medical teams are working at evacuation centers.

The patience of the public over Miriam's escapades is now wearing thin. Help is urgency needed to save and help lives and whole communities. Help is pouring in from many parts of the world, from our overseas Filipino employees or OFWs, from cities and towns not affected by Ondoy.

no one casts motive on the help and assistance rendered by do-gooders, even if they're foreigners or congressmen. At about that point, Ondoy victims need all the help they can get.
