Gander Mountain Rods
fishing rod questionn!?

i went to gander mountain today and checked out the abu vendetta rods, i dont like them at all, the guides are to big, the handle is to short, and they are too stiff

but i looked at the wright and mcgill skeet reese rods and thought for 90$ they were great rods

what are your opinions on this rod? and are there any rods out there that are better for under 100$?

using mainly for spinners, worms, and maybe crank baits

For 100 bucks you have all kinds of options open for you. The Vendetta rod takes a bit of getting used to but in my opinion it is a really great rod. I have a Revo reel setup on mine but matching another reel with this particular rod may not be the greatest idea. I've never used the rod you are talking about but about any rod you find that costs nearly 100 bucks will do you fine. I've personally never spent over 70 bucks for a rod and have always done just fine (if you shop around you will never need to).

Check that rod out. Abu Garcia is always my first choice in rods and reels but the KVD line of products are all great also. I bought my dad a KVD baitcasting setup with this rod for right at 100 bucks a while back. I bought the 7'0 medium heavy action and it's just an all around great and versatile rod. It's made of very good quality stuff also. It's a tough rod to beat for the price.
