Fish Oil Vs Krill Oil
The difference between plant and animal based fats is in the enzymes. A big difference lies between krill oil and fish oil. Differences between the 2 are described below.
Animal based fats contain a higher order of carbon. There is a 20 carbon fat called EPA and also a 22 carbon fat known as DHA. The metabolic machinery in the body can make this conversion. "Delta 6 Desaturase" is the enzyme responsible for making this change.
As you get older or you have high insulin levels, this enzyme becomes damaged.
