Power Conditioning Ropes - Make Working Out Fun Again!

So you say you're bored with stretch cords, dumbbells, crunches and the gym.  You're sick of having to work out for hours to stay in shape.  Well do we have the product for you!  Sounds like a cheesy infomercial but it's true.  Power conditioning ropes are not a new miracle work out tool, in fact the idea isn't that new at all.  That being said the trend to use muscle confusion and interval training in work outs has brought power conditioning ropes into the spot light.

So what is a Power Conditioning rope and how do you use it?  It's a pretty simple concept actually and the equipment list required to get started is short.  It's rope... ok maybe not your average hardware store rope but none the less rope.  Similar to what tug-of-war ropes or climbing ropes.  In fact many people offer manila power conditioning ropes (manila is a natural fiber and is the most common material used in the manufacturing of climbing ropes and tug-of-war ropes).  I would suggest however that you spend a few extra bucks and purchase power conditioning ropes made of poly Dacron.  Poly Dacron is softer and more rugged than traditional manila ropes.  Most importantly though poly Dacron does not shed like manila ropes.  So long story short your gym won't need sweeping after every use of your power conditioning ropes if you buy one made of poly Dacron.

So you take this 1-1/2" (also available in deluxe 2" widths), 40 foot long rope, thread it through a metal loop anchor bracket that has been attached to the wall so that you now have two 20' long ropes.  Grab one with your left hand one with your right hand and whip them up in down in a wave motion.  Sounds easy buts it's quite a workout.

In fact some may consider it the perfect workout for them.  The movement involved creates a low impact yet high cardio workout that really get your heart pumping allowing your body to burn large muscle carbs.  John Brookfield, creator of the "Battling Ropes" program offers a system of various easy drills that will whip you into shape in no time.  You can increase resistance by using a longer and/or thicker rope.
