Prawn as a Main Dish?

My whole family loves to eat prawn. And this is why I love to prepare such dishes during the weekends, when the whole family gets together. One of the dishes that my family loves to eat it with marinade and grilled. Among the many varieties of shellfish, prawn or shrimp is the most loved item of many people. In fact, I know some people who still eat it despite the fact that they have an allergy! This is not recommended however, as they might end up in a hospital any time!

But still, I don't know what it is about, that people love so much. Maybe it's because it tastes much better than any other meat and has a juicy flavor that does not need any additional seasoning. In fact, shrimp tastes best after it has been boiled or steamed. Aside from steaming or boiling, there are still other ways that shrimp can be prepared. They can be fried, grilled or even baked. When these other options are selected, shrimp needs to have additional seasonings though or even marinade.

The only problem with prawn is that it is the cause of several allergic reactions. As a matter of fact, I found out last night that my daughter is now allergic to it. She was scratching and scratching uncontrollably all over her body just a few minutes that she ate them. Maybe it's because they were not prepared well or it was no longer fresh, but I have decided to discontinue making shrimp for her.

Of course, she was upset since she is a huge fan of grilled shrimp. But forbidding her to eat shrimp is better than having to rush her to the nearest hospital and watch the doctors cut her throat area open (so I've heard) just so she could breathe

If only shrimp isn't a root of allergic reactions then I would gladly prepare these dishes every day! In fact, I was told that shrimp is good for the heart. This is due to the not so recent discovery of researchers that shrimp actually contains a high amount of good cholesterol. In addition, they have a low content of saturated fats. This is why there are a lot of people who choose to eat shrimp over any dark meat.

Shrimp is a very versatile ingredient and there are a variety of recipes. It can be prepared on its own or as an added ingredient for toppings of pasta or rice dishes. If only my daughter is not allergic to shrimp, I would gladly cook different versions of shrimp dishes just for her! She likes them best marinated.
